“Michele Biancardi – Cantine Vigne Daune” is a winery deeply rooted in the viticultural traditions of Puglia. The company’s philosophy is built upon the principles of organic farming, respecting natural cycles and soil identity through a steadfast commitment to quality and sustainability.
In 2023, the winery inaugurated a new retail space: a flagship store designed to promote Biancardi’s own production alongside a sophisticated selection of national and international labels, as well as premium artisanal food specialties.
The architectural challenge lay in harmonizing the display area with a zone dedicated to by-the-glass service and the sale of bulk wine—exclusively from their own production—while simultaneously creating an attractive, versatile space for tastings and events.
Located on a high-traffic thoroughfare in the city center, Biancardi Vini is a store defined by a material contrast between the raw aesthetic of iron furnishings and the refined touch of lacquered wood, complemented by a lighting design tailored to enhance volumes and atmospheres. Inside, a clear hierarchy exists between furnishings, display walls, and functional areas, responding to diverse distributive, commercial, and communicative needs.
Every wall tells a story. To the right, a tribute to their heritage features a large-scale mural of the winery and minimal displays in backlit raw iron that highlight the Biancardi labels. To the left, an extensive international selection is housed within more elegant, deep-set black shelving that creates a dramatic visual impact.
In the background, visible through the large external windows, five stainless steel tanks for bulk wine stand tall amidst lights and graphics, narrating the authentic production identity of the Biancardi winery.
